The Cauldron is an independent, non-profit making, privately published journal featuring articles, news and book reviews on Witchcraft, Wicca, Ancient & Modern Paganism, Earth Mysteries and Folklore. It has been published quarterly since 1976 during February, May, August and November.

Its readers and writers represent a broad spectrum of belief and practice from absolute beginners to experienced practitioners. Many of its contributors are well-known published authors and over the years they have included Andrew Chumbley, Daniel Schulke, E.W. Liddell (‘Lugh’), Robert Cochrane, Evan John Jones, Shani Oates, Alastier 'Bob' Clay-Egerton, Nigel Pennick, Nigel Jackson and many other leading witches, magicians and occultists. TC’s editor, Mike Howard, has written over twenty books on magic, witchcraft, Earth Mysteries and folklore. He has also been involved in the Craft and the magical tradition for forty years. The writers in TC therefore offer a wide range of knowledge and experience you will not find elsewhere.

The Cauldron is widely recognised as a well-respected and leading magazine in the field of modern witchcraft and magic. As a result it has a wide readership in the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada, Europe and Australasia among people interested in these subjects. In 2005 a separate Brazilian edition in Portuguese was launched as an on-line e-magazine. TC is always interesting, sometimes controversial, but never dull. It is one of the longest running magazines serving the Craft and pagan community and this maturity is reflected in its contents.
