Hoodoo, is not a religon like voodoo but is a form of African-American traditional folk magic. Also known as 'Working roots' being it is a magical practice that mainly deals with the uses roots of certain plants and trees in charms and spells. It is a tradition that has developed from not only Africa, but from Native American Practises aswell as some European folk magic also. In practise, Deities from African-Voodoo may sometimes used, but mostly biblical figures such as Saints, and verses from the book of Psalms are widely used in spells and magical rite within Hoodoo.
