Mound
From Traditional Witchcraft Wiki Project
(Redirected from Mounds)
A Mound is heaped pile of earth, gravel, sand, rocks, or debris, and may be applied to any rounded and elevated structure. Mounds are associated with hill-forts, motte and baileys, burial mounds such as tumuli, cairns, and barrows, and often feature in folklore as the homes of the fairies. Some have poetically associated the mound not only with places of interment and fairy castles, but also with the rising and setting sun, and woman's pregnant belly.
