I came across Dessee on a recent visit to the south coast of France. A local artist was doing a talk on the folklore of the region and mentioned Dessee several times. They way she explained it the term was applied as literally meaning those that followed the feminine spiritual path and honoured the land above all else. She taught us several charms and occult rituals that were designed to introduce us to the elemental spirits of the area.
