The Red Meal

The Red Meal normally consists of a red wine (or drink) and red cakes.
During the Salem witch trials, Abigail Williams claimed that the witches consumed a sacrament of red bread and red drink. Later on, Mercy Lewis said that she was offered red bread that was like a man's flesh, which she refused to eat, and a red drink which was like blood. Such a sacrament is similar in nature to the Eucharist.
