The witch's teat is a protuberance upon the body, such as extra breasts (polymastia), supernumerary nipples (polythelia), piles, warts, skin tags and so forth, sometimes confused by modern writers with the Witch's Mark. These “teats” were said to have been used to suckle imps, familiars and other agents of the Devil, thus feeding them with the necessary nourishment to keep them alive. This suckling is also a form of sacrifice, whereby the witch gives a libation in order to receive aid from the spirit.

These teats have been found under tongues, upon the genitals and behind the right shoulder. However, these teats are not a part of the universal witch tradition, rather they seem to be peculiar to the English witch cult.
