(Redirected from Witching hour)
In European folklore, the Witching Hour, sometimes known as Bull's Noon, is the time when spirits such as genii, demons and ghosts are thought to be at their most powerful, and when witchcraft is at its most effective. This hour is typically midnight, and the term is now popularly used to refer to midnight, or any late hour. In Gypsy lore the Witching Hour is actually at 1 o'clock as opposed to midnight because it is the "Thirteenth Hour".
